Engineering with Authority
In the complex world of aerospace integration, the gap between a supplier's brochure and an airworthy system is where programs fail. CSEC (Clark Systems Engineering Consulting) was founded to close that gap. We act as an independent technical bridge, ensuring that safety-critical systems are not just procured, but rigorously engineered, integrated, and certified.
Our Philosophy
Independence
We operate entirely free from supplier affiliations or manufacturing biases. In the complex landscape of crew escape and safety-critical systems, this independence allows us to act as your unbiased technical advocate. We bridge the gap between airframer requirements and supplier capabilities, ensuring that every technical decision is driven strictly by safety cases, performance metrics, and certification needs—never by commercial pressure.
Rigour
We move beyond static, document-based engineering to build functional digital threads. By applying ISO-15288 standards to our Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks, we create a 'single source of truth' for your project. This ensures that every requirement is inextricably linked to its verification activity, eliminating the ambiguity and 'orphaned requirements' that traditionally cause costly late-stage redesigns.
Experience
Systems engineering theory is useless if it cannot be translated into airworthy hardware. Our guidance is filtered through decades of real-world product development and certification experience. We do not just deliver process; we deliver artifacts that stand up to regulatory scrutiny. We design architectures with the harsh reality of the operational environment in mind, ensuring your system works as well on the flight line as it does in the model.
Experience & Background

Tim Clark - Director & Founder
After leading escape system integrations for major primes, Tim recognized a recurring industry problem: the lack of specific, in-house domain knowledge often led to cost and schedule overruns along with late-stage discovery of risks. He founded CSEC to support system integrators and provide that missing expertise on demand.
